Suds Buckets Origin Story
Suds Buckets was founded in Newmarket, Ontario in 2017. Inspired by the open spaces, fresh air, and sunshine that surrounded us, gave us a mission to create happy pets and happy people. Today, we’re proud to lead the pack in providing products that are good for your pet and for the planet.

Our company was started after 30 years of working as a research assistant in the field of cardiology. After being laid off, I was at a loss of what to do next. Do I stay in the cardiac field or find a new direction. One day, when I was training with my dog (in agility) all my classmates ask how I get my dog’s coat so soft and shiny. I told them that I have been making my own shampoo/conditioner, paw wax, toothpaste and ear wash. They also asked why would I go through so much trouble, when I can buy what I need or pay a groomer. I told them I had Bernese Mountain Dogs before Murphy, (all my dogs are rescues) and they had some health issues and I had to find ways to take care of them with out spending loads of money. After I explained why some of my classmates asked if they could buy some of my Shampoos. So, my trainer happened to overheard/listening to what we were talking about and asked me to make shampoo bars for her to sale at the school. The person who made those products were no longer making them.
Well from there we have grown into a small home-based business and online store.

We work closely with holistic veterinarians/OR Studies books written by Veterinarians, to formulate pet products that support full-body wellness. We use all-natural, human-grade, sustainably-sourced ingredients that pet parents can trust to be safe and effective. From meal time to treat time and beyond, we have everything you need to keep your pets healthy from nose to tail.
